On 27 February I appeared on The Duran show on YouTube and other platforms. This post adds five quick footnotes to that discussion of Australia’s role in a multipolar world. It may interest readers around the world since, in many ways, the challenge for Australia to adapt to the multipolar world is shared by the rest of the world.
Big thanks to Alex Christoforou and Alexander Mercouris for hosting me on their show, and to all the viewers who chose to join me here on Substack. (I promise I will work out some better lighting for nighttime recording soon!)
For new subscribers, my general routine is to post a free 1000-2000 word post on Saturday morning, and to post bonus content for patrons on Wednesday evening. The bonus content alternates between a long post or essay and a more ‘behind the scenes’ audio/video message.
Today I am making my all ‘behind the scenes’ audio/video message available to all, so new and current subscribers can see what is on offer for a very modest contribution.
I will also give a special extra piece of bonus content to patrons on Friday. Stay tuned!
My five footnotes on Australia’s role in a multipolar world are delivered in the following video message.

I have also recently updated my general author website - you can read it at both www.theburningarchive.com and jeffrichwriter.com. The website includes pointers to my books, articles, podcasts and courses.
Yes, my first online history course, World History Explorers 1: Civilizations is starting next week. Information on this online world history book club is here, and I wrote a substack post on it recently.
Delighted to see an alliance of my favourites - Alexander, Alex and Jeff
Thanks Judith. It was amazing to do the show with them after watching them for the last few years.
