I have read Pearl Buck, but don't really understand why she won the Nobel Prize for Literature, however, I will try to read as much of Roger du Gard, Frans Sillanpää, Johannes Jensen, Gabriela Mistral, Herman Hesse, André Gide as I can find. I shall start reading in date order all the books from 1901 soon. At the moment I am seeking out the books, and watching/reading Burning Archive, a superb resource.
