When I read fiction, it’s either historical or philosophical, and I’m aiming to grasp the spirit of the times depicted from a more literary point of view. So I vote to keep things combined.
Hello Jeff, I think that you clearly enjoy writing on both topics. Readers are likely to continue reading if they enjoy your writing. In addition, when you evaluate the poll results, I think that you should consider the likelihood that readers that abstained from voting are likely to be satisfied with the current offering by the Burning Platform, though they might not feel strongly enough about the issue to participate in the vote. My tuppence. Regards, Frans.
I like the quote from Thiruvalluvar. So much of what passes for news and analysis here in the decadent and decaying West lacks the fundamental understanding that everything is subject to constant change, has no sense of the dialectic nature of the world around us.
We also need a new language to describe what we see around us, for example, conventional notions like "Left" and "Right" no longer elucidate but only serve to obscure reality.
I haven't read much literature in recent years, and reading the posts here inspire me to return to long-form writing, of which in my youth (now many years ago) I partook of so eagerly.
Exciting plans, but I like the mix now. If you split into two, I will want both, as long as our lousy government doesn't take my state pension away because I have a private one. Their taxes have increased by income tax and taken away my winter fuel allowance. Starmer seems to hate the elderly. Well the feeling is mutual. I bought Olga's new book. The ebook is out tomorrow and will automatically download. My anticipation is keen.
